Project Overview

The client were seeking to move and consolidate a number of offices into a new centre at Stockley Park. The 42,000 sq ft two-story unit required extensive works to the external fabric of the building. The external works and Cat A was undertaken by ISG working for the landlord, whilst we were briefed to design and build the interiors and consolidate the staff.

The client’s existing lease conditions meant that external walls of the building had to be removed whilst undertaking the work; keeping the building watertight throughout.

Pipex were undergoing considerable change with mergers and acquisitions during the contract period, to the extent that the entire client team had changed by the end of the project. Accurate document control was therefore critical.

As a result the original project expanded into several concurrent small projects as new groups were installed and the existing space was adapted to cope with the new arrivals. The Infrastructure installation was robust and flexible as this situation had been foreseen, so fortunately disruption was minimised.
