2009 has started better than expected with two new IT projects - both for new clients. The first is an IT security pilot project in the South East area. Litchfield are managing the entire process which includes the IT hardware and software design and the integration of the completed product into a number of different environments. There is some construction/refitting in each situation.

Equipment Room refurbishment
We are managing and assisting a client team to relocate and migrate their equipment upon which we will manage the process for the refurbishment, enlargement and upgrading of the room and the return of the client’s equipment properly migrated back. This will leave the client with a more resilient room and 60% more space for future expansion. The routing whilst the project is undertaken is particularly critical and requires very detailed management and planning.

New person
Shaun Stone has recently joined us to enlarge our capacity to manage these complicated IT projects. Shaun’s experience at Cisco, Sun and IBM will prove very useful and we welcome his input over the coming months.
