Energy Monitoring System

Starting with a Comms Room Survey - Comms rooms have been designed and built to specifications which are now 10 years old. Our survey will uncover inefficiencies and calculate annual energy spend to produce energy cost saving recommendations, to estimate a likely return on investment of the project.

This is followed with our Energy Monitoring System which includes the installation of a cabinet-by-cabinet monitoring system, allowing for an immediate reduction in costs by raising of the temperature of the Comms Room by an incremental, controllable level.

Landlord Supply Process

We analyse the power usage of the building and leased area and ascertain any likely peak loads, comparing against the amount of power currently paid for. We then negotiate with the power company and landlord to reduce any unnecessary expenditure.

Lighting and Power Process

We liaise with client teams to set up a housekeeping process to enable further cost savings.

New UK Government Regulations

CRC Regulations coming into effect in 2010 require all businesses in the UK to produce:

• Annual Footprint report: this is a mandatory document which measures carbon emissions. It is produced for the Environment Agency by every company effected by the CRC regulations in April 2010. It must be supported by an Evidence Pack.
• Evidence Pack: a detailed information pack compiled from Energy Audits and other company information supporting the Annual Footprint report ( A mandatory document under the CRC regulations).
• Energy Audit: a survey of all premises to establish current costs and power usage, highlighting areas of wastage. Information will produce the data for the Evidence Pack.

Data system

The data system is designed to record the necessary data to produce an approved Evidence Pack in subsequent years, reducing the cost of data-gathering in future years.
