Project Overview

Litchfield undertook a detailed survey project of the UK LAN network, deciding on the criteria to be checked, organising the teams and ensuring that progress met its target of five sites a day across the UK.

Following Project 1, the team was retained for the LAN upgrade project, which involved the installation of various LAN fixes using Cisco equipment. This was completed ensuring no loss of business or delay to the desktop rollout.

Project Overview

Litchfield Projects managed the design and installation of the SAN for the customer on behalf of IBM, where project life cycle and risk planning were required.

This involved designing and implementing a documentation survey to discover a base for the commencement of the establishment of the SAN, consolidating 1,000 servers and installing a resilient MAN between seven centres. The data was then transferred to the new office complex where it was taken over by IBM’s managed service teams.

Litchfield was appointed as independent project managers for the Mizuho project. This involved the procurement of services, the construction teams, and organising all aspects of the project to complete it on time, to specification and on budget.

Project Overview

This project involved managing the creation of the Customer Services contingency plan. It included analysing and procuring all resources on behalf of Orange, the co-ordination and assimilation of the Customer Service plan into the Y2K plan, and ensuring back plans were tested and in place. The requirements and duties were conveyed to all parties and complied with. This required the management of the complete project lifecycle.

Litchfield was required to upgrade this building to Telehouse standards. Each floor included a variety of tenants from ISPs to switch centres. We dealt with numerous IT tenants, the completion of the landlord’s defects works and the construction of the ISP centre areas.

The project comprised a 50,000 square feet Category A and Category B fit out. However, this was increased to 100,000 square feet fit-out part way through the project due to a merger. This involved the re-design of half the original scheme.

Litchfield completed the revised scheme under a construction management route within the original programme and completed on schedule. The project was also completed under budget.
